New cable trunking solutions from RCCN
RCCN has launched a new line of cable trunking solutions that will help improve flexibility and performance in structured data centres.
The Skinny-Trunk line of products includes the Z-Mount, a metal wiring duct bracket with moulded, angled MTP couplers that can be attached to the outside of any server rack or cabinet.
Fibre optic cables cable trunking in the line can also be snapped into the back of the bracket and the Skinny-Trunk Harness can plug into the front.
All this can help to eliminate wiring duct any need for an additional enclosure inside the rack, thus saving room for further expansion.
Peter E. Belyea, vice president of data centre and cabling at Cablexpress, said: “The Skinny-Trunk solution allows companies to save space, reduce insertion loss and future-proof their data centres.
“By using pre-engineered, customised lengths and reducing the overall amount of ducting cabling required, it really cleans up the data centre and helps reduce the amount of cooling required.”
APC recently unveiled a new server rack, the NetShelter SX Networking Enclosure, which offers better cooling efficiency by offering “superior airflow isolation”.
