One family who helped had their father fall ill to cancer earlier this year and in his absence was terribly lagging with their own  harvest. Ryan Buller, 35, said after his father’s fields were done, the crew moved on to harvest their crop.

Junior Pippitt, who suffers from cable duct  a number of ailments including a bad heart, showed up to work in his comrade’s fields. Pippitt, now retired, was a former hired hand of Ervin Buller’s.

“He insisted he be a part of it, even though he has trouble cable trunking walking,” Ryan Buller said. “Wild horses couldn’t have dragged him off the property.”
